A Private Charter from Ibiza's Only Airport

Land at IBZ by private jet — the runway accommodates everything up to a Gulfstream G650. The FBO at Ibiza Airport is small and discreet. A car is waiting. The drive to the hills near San Rafael takes twenty minutes, past the airport sprawl, onto back roads where the olive groves begin. The change in altitude and quiet is the first signal that Ibiza is not what you were told.

A Finca Hotel in the Hills

Can Lluc is a twelve-suite finca hotel near San Rafael, twenty minutes from every club and a world away from the chaos. The rooms are terracotta and cream, the pool looks over four-century-old olive terraces, and the restaurant is run by a chef who previously held a star in Madrid. This is where Ibiza's second-time visitors stay. The people who discover Can Lluc do not book anywhere else.

An Afternoon at Amante

Thursday is for Amante. A forty-minute drive from Can Lluc, down a dirt road most taxis will refuse, ending at a cove of impossibly clear water bracketed by pine trees. Lunch is at 2pm, on a terrace cut into the hillside. The menu is Mediterranean and uncomplicated. The wine list is better than it needs to be. Stay until the sunset. Do not attempt to make dinner plans.

Ch. 04The Day at Sea

A Yacht Charter Through the Formentera Channel

Friday is for the sea. A day charter from Marina Botafoch to the Es Palmador channel between Ibiza and Formentera — the stretch of water where the hundred-metre yachts moor for August lunches. Drop anchor at eleven. Swim. Take the tender to Illetas for lunch at Juan y Andrea, which has been serving the same paella on the same sand for fifty years. Return to the anchorage for sunset.

Ch. 05The Dinner

A Sunset at Es Boldado

Saturday evening. The drive to Cala d'Hort takes an hour — winding, coastal, increasingly dramatic. Es Boldado sits on a cliff above the cove, with a direct view of Es Vedrà, the limestone rock that the island's fringe-mystical community believes is the third most magnetic point on earth. The paella takes forty minutes. The bouillabaisse is off-menu. Ask the waiter. Book for seven. Stay until the rock goes black against the last light.

Ch. 06The Night

A Saturday at Hï Ibiza

The Saturday night at Hï remains the best reason to come to Ibiza. Black Coffee has held the residency for three years and the room — the Theatre, engineered for house and techno by the same team that did Berghain — still hits differently at 3am than anywhere else in the world. Table reservations are made six weeks ahead. The Madriche concierge books them. Arrive after one.

Ch. 07The Closing

A Monday Night at UNVRS

The final night. UNVRS, the fifteen-thousand-capacity club that opened in 2025 and has since redefined what large-format nightlife can be. Go on a Monday for the Black Coffee residency — the same artist, a different room, a different energy. The sound system is a custom L-Acoustics rig that took two years to commission. Arrive at one. Leave when the lights come on. Fly home Wednesday morning.
