Ch. 01The Arrival
Teterboro, Not JFK
New York has three airports. For the week of the final, JFK and Newark will be operating at full capacity with international arrivals from every country that qualified. Teterboro Airport in New Jersey is the private aviation terminal — twelve miles from MetLife, no commercial traffic, no queues. If you are flying private, this is the only answer. If you are flying commercial, land at Newark (EWR) rather than JFK. The NJ Transit connection to Penn Station runs directly from the airport and keeps you out of the cross-borough traffic that will define the week.
